Gus joined ASP in 2005 and led the development of the Shared Services Directorate through a significant period of service and process redesign including electronic payroll and purchase to pay systems to both improve service quality and efficiency. Gus established a commercial ethos throughout the service and as a result of successful tendering and acquisition oversaw significant growth in headcount and turnover.

Gus then took on responsibility for the Business Support Directorate and carried responsibility for Informatics and Primary Care Support Services together with ASP’s corporate functions of business planning, development, finance, performance, marketing and communications. Since December 2011 Gus has been Acting Managing Director and has led for ASP on the Strategic Direction Project to secure the organisations future for the long-term.
