ASP is seeking a strategic partner, from either the private or public sector, to maximise future business opportunities following a strategic review of its business with stakeholders.

This is a significant opportunity to acquire a successful enterprise with significant capabilities and proven track record in serving the NHS market place with support services. ASP could provide an acquirer with both an established route into this market, worth an estimated £2bn per annum, and a platform for further growth, supported by the framework agreement that we are seeking to establish through this procurement process. The NHS is under significant political and financial pressure to drive down the cost of support services to maximise the resources available for front-line care. This will significantly increase demand for shared and outsourced arrangements on a far greater scale than is currently the case.
